Cherry is the songwriting project of Neil Sullivan (formerly of Lapis Lazuli, Thing and Wheels) from Canterbury, England. The project features live shows of undulating, dramatic guitar and vocal pieces as well as recorded full band arrangements influenced by funk, punk and rock. Emotive lyrics catch the words left unspoken and crisp, fluid nylon-classical fingerpicking undulates in volume and tempo, wave-like, drawing in the listener. This is augmented by soft gentle vocal tones which often break into powerful belting sections weaving a rich drama.
